Bees are vital for a stable and healthy food chain. They help plants grow, breed and produce food by transferring pollen between flowering plants. In this way they keep the cycle of life turning.
Unfortunately, the population of bees is declining across the world creating big concerns for the environment. This decrease is caused by the loss of their habitat and food sources, by their exposure to pesticides and the effects of climate change.
To raise awareness on the topic, we host “The Joy of Bees” event in collaboration with Relais & Châteaux. During the event guests could meet the local beekeeper who presents the magic world of a beehive as well as some of the beekeeping techniques. Guests could have a honey tasting experience and a honey dinner based on a specially created menu for this day.
